Wednesday Training Day
We are excited to have CERT back to deliver a Situational Safety and Tactical Communications (SSTC) Masterclass on Wednesday 19 May hosted by the City of Holdfast Bay. This training is essential for authorised persons who are working with the public and ensures they have the appropriate knowledge and skills to enable them to safely, effectively and professionally engage and interact with members of the public.

Awards
Each year we hold the annual Authorised Persons' Association Annual Awards. These awards are always a highlight of the seminar as they are an opportunity for management and teammates to recognise and reward the excellent work happening in the regulatory world. The awards are presented at the seminar dinner at the Stamford Grand on the evening of the 20 May 2021.

The award criteria and nomination form can be found here. Nominations close at 5pm on Friday 7 May 2021. Take time form your day to reflect on the projects, investigations, and initiatives your team have achieved this year. Do you have a new or experienced team member who continually excels? Please make sure you nominate an officer or team from your Council for an award. In addition to the recognition the winners will receive across the industry there are some great prizes on offer!!
Importantly, many of our previous State winners of the Animal Management Officer of the Year award have gone on to win the National award, which is great promotion for Local Government in South Australia.
Accommodation
Accommodation is available from $159 for a Grand City room or $199 for a Grand Ocean room per night. Full buffet breakfast is an additional $20 per person.

Cancellation Policy
Our cancellation policy is as set out below. All tickets purchased for the event are subject to this policy.
1. Subject to paragraph 4 below, all cancellations must be in writing via email to admin@lgapa.com.au.
2. Cancellations that are received via email prior to 5 May 2021 will receive a full refund.
3. Due to fees and expenses incurred by the APA for each registration, including for catering arrangements:
a. a fee will be incurred for cancellations that occur after 5 May 2021 but before 14 May 2021. The balance of the ticket price will be refunded; and
b. no amount will be refunded for cancellations that occur after 14 May 2021, including in the case of non-attendance by a person who has been registered to attend the event.
4. If the event is cancelled due to any measures that are introduced, escalated, or implemented by any Government Agency to address the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, a full refund will be provided.
