The APA Professional Development Seminar - 28 - 29 July 2022
This year is shaping up to be an exciting conference and you can find the program here.
The Authorised Persons Association made the decision to move the APA Seminar to the 28 and 29 July 2022, to be preceded by a training day on 27 July 2022.
As you know, our Seminar and Awards Night is normally held in May each year, however due to the Covid restrictions we have been experiencing and the potential inability for Councils to allow delegates to attend in person, the APA decided to move the Annual Training Seminar to July 2022.
Our annual seminar program combines opportunities to learn, network and share ideas.
As we move into the new normal following the impacts of the pandemic, the APA committee understand the importance and value of reconnecting in person with your colleagues. We also stress that the Seminar will be conducted with delegates health and safety as a priority, allowing ample space for social distancing and adhering to any SA Health Guidelines, while also providing attendees with a range of engaging guest speakers and opportunities to reconnect and celebrate.

Award nominations
The Local Government Authorised Persons Association Annual Awards provides an opportunity to recognise and reward excellence in the field of regulatory services in Local Government in South Australia.

We encourage you to take time now to nominate an officer or team from either your own Council, or another Council. The nomination process is quick and simple, and you can nominate in more than one category.
These awards are always a highlight of the seminar and will be presented at the seminar dinner at the Stamford Grand on the evening of Thursday 28 July 2022. Tickets are still available for the conference and dinner on our website.
Accommodation
Accommodation is available from $175 for a Grand City room or $215 for a Grand Ocean room per night. Full buffet breakfast is an additional $25 per person (noting we do have a Friday balcony breakfast for members that can be booked at registration).

Cancellation Policy
Our cancellation policy is as set out below. All tickets purchased for the event are subject to this policy.
1. Subject to paragraph 4 below, all cancellations must be in writing via email to admin@lgapa.com.au.
2. Cancellations that are received via email prior to 6 July 2022 will receive a full refund.
3. Due to fees and expenses incurred by the APA for each registration, including for catering arrangements:
a. a fee will be incurred for cancellations that occur after 6 July 2022 but before 15 July 2022. The balance of the ticket price will be refunded; and
b. no amount will be refunded for cancellations that occur after 15 July 2022, including in the case of non-attendance by a person who has been registered to attend the event.
4. If the event is cancelled due to any measures that are introduced, escalated, or implemented by any Government Agency to address the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, a full refund will be provided.
