New Membership Offering for Councils  — Effective January 2026

The LGAPA is now offering  a Council Bundle Membership model. This allows each council to manage its authorised officers under one membership account, simplifying renewals, invoicing, and access to member benefits. 

The traditional single option will still be available. 

Why is LG APA changing to Council Bundle Memberships?
The new structure allows councils to manage all officers in one place, nominate a bundle administrator, streamline renewals through a single invoice, and ensure each officer receives the same access, discounts, and communications.
How does a Council Bundle Membership work?
Each council nominates one Bundle Administrator who can add or remove staff, update details, and oversee renewals. All listed officers are registered as LGAPA members under the council’s bundle and receive full member benefits.
What steps should our council take to set up membership?
  1. Nominate a Council Administrator — typically a Team Leader, Coordinator, or Administration Officer.
  2. Complete the Council Membership Spreadsheet with officer names, job titles, and email addresses.

  3. Email the completed spreadsheet to admin@lgapa.com.au.
  4. The Committee will create your council’s bundle and add all listed officers.
  5. Each officer will receive an activation email with their login details.
Who should be the nominated Council Administrator?
The administrator should be someone who regularly manages team information — such as a Team Leader or Admin Officer. They will be the primary contact for membership updates, invoices, and renewals.
What information is required in the spreadsheet?
Required: Full name, job title, and email address for each officer.
Optional: Work phone and department/unit. Please use official council email addresses. Council's financial accounts email address for invoicing to be sent to.
How do members log in after activation?
Go to www.lgapa.com.au and click Member Login (top right).

Use your council email address and password from the activation email.
Forgot your password? Click “Forgot Password” on the login screen to reset it.
What can members access once logged in?
Members can register for events at discounted rates, access members-only resources newsletters and update profile details
Our council already has members — what do we do?
LGAPA will contact the bundle administrator to confirm details after receiving the completed spreadsheet.
Can I still get an individual membership?
Yes, individual memberships are still available for $60
