The Local Government Authorised Persons Association Inc. has developed and grown through a lot of hard work by its members. The professional frame work, training, development opportunities and annual seminars showcase the abilities of members and the complexity of the roles Local Government Authorised People fulfill.
Local Government is taking notice of the APA’s advances and officers are being recognised as skilled and motivated people who can interpret and administer multiple Acts and Regulations covering multiple tasks across a wide variety of tasks.
The objectives of the APA are:
A person is qualified to be an ordinary member if:
a. A person has been appointed by a council to be an authorised person pursuant to the Local Government Act, 1999.
Membership of the APA shall be for a period ending 30 June in each year.
